 2011-02-22 Water Quality Management Developments: Nutrients, Bacteria
Co-presented by Jim Davenport and Louis Herrin, III, TCEQ. Nationally, EPA is continuing to require numerical nutrient criteria in state water quality standards, as evidenced by the recent federal promulgation of nutrient criteria in Florida. At the state level, TCEQ has adopted new water quality criteria for nutrients and additional criteria are under development. TCEQ has also developed new procedures to assess nutrient impacts in proposed wastewater permits.
