AWWA YOUNG PROFESSIONALS
YOUR PATH TO SUCCESS

What is an AWWA YP?

An American Water Works Association Young Professional is a member of AWWA under the age of 35 who works or is involved in the water industry.

Why should you get involved in the AWWA YP program?

As a member of a prominent national organization you have the opportunity to meet other professionals in the water industry and exchange ideas and experiences.

In addition to networking, the Texas section includes many service activities including mentoring programs, community service activities, activities at section conferences, technical tours and seminars, and much more.

AWWA offers numerous educational opportunities at both the state and national level.  As a member of AWWA you will have access (and a discounted rate) for Conferences and AWWA publications.  The cost of membership is made up in the registration of just one conference at the member rate versus the non-member rate.

The YP program serves as a springboard to get you involved in the organization NOW by providing you the opportunity for an active leadership role.  This can be your “path to success” by the networking, service and educational tools that will serve to boost your career in the water industry.
