Water Conservation & Reuse folks,

I have a question from a consultant regarding pricing for reuse water. Do any of you have input on this? This is the first time I've used this feature so I will also email the group. Contact info for Melinda Silva is below and you can reply directly to her. If you have something to add to the discussion maybe we can get a conversation going here!

"My client is interested in who all is selling direct reuse water for irrigation and at what price? There are various Municipal Utility Districts in the Houston region that are thinking about treating their wastewater flows and selling that Type 1 effluent to golf courses, HOAs, etc but they all get stuck trying to figure the price. I also have entities that are interested in buying effluent from MUDs and they don’t know what is fair market value." Melinda also noted that these MUD's typically have 0.35 to 1.5 MGD facilities.

Contact:

Melinda Silva, P.E.
________________________________
Brown & Gay Engineers, Inc
10777 Westheimer, Suite 400
Houston, Texas 77042

Direct 713-488-8289
Main 281-558-8700
Fax 713-488-8250
