Committees: TXWARN

TXWARN was created by the Texas Section AWWA in 2005 to bring together the largest water and wastewater associations in Texas to coordinate mutual aid in times of disaster or major service interruptions including impacts from drought.

TXWARN has grown to become the largest WARN system in the North America with over eleven hundred utility and emergency manager members who are able to access the unique TXWARN website to access resources and request support when needed.

Our mission is to support and promote statewide emergency preparedness, disaster response, and mutual assistance for public and private water and wastewater utilities. Through coordination and support from the TCEQ, TXWARN is uniquely able to coordinate with the Department of Emergency Management and Emergency Mangers statewide to facilitate access to resources.

TXWARN also provides extensive training and manages a growing TXWARN Video Library.
